Depending on your generation, these phrases all mean the same thing: People don’t like to read. 

It takes much more effort to write something short and compelling than it does to ramble on padding sentences with equivocations and contingencies. But the effort is worth the time. It will force you to think long and hard about your message, and it will give you a much better product. 

So, in the spirit of today’s theme, I will leave you with three suggestions: 

  • Choose your words carefully
  • Use the active voice (among other things, it takes less words)
  • Take your time
